is realizing
there is no such thing

of salvation,

when God spoke
possibility into being.
Your breath, now.
The way the cup
nestles in your hand.
The reverent quiet
of the trees at dawn.
It’s all miracle
and God is everywhere in it
beckoning
in his shy and mischievous way
daring you to recognize him
and fall in love.
